How I Do It: Packing List for Disney

Well, you’ll never guess where we are?  Disney World!  The hubs and I surprised the girls on the way down here, and they’re beyond thrilled that they’re FINALLY getting to go!  The boys are staying with my parents for the first half of the week, and the in-laws will watch them the second half.  I know I’ll miss them so much, but it really makes it so much easier to enjoy, when we can focus on the girls, and make memories with them.  We are extremely grateful that our family can help us out with this!

I know y’all will want the hook-up on how we organized our trip, in case you ever venture to Disney World yourself, and don’t worry, I’ll be more than happy to share all the details with you next week!  With the extra special help we had, it was a breeze to set up!  Even the hubs (who was kind of dreading the whole ordeal) is just as excited as we are!
Needless to say, with the freezing temps last week, we were more than ready to get to somewhere warm.  Hello, 80 degrees!!
When I pack, I know you probably assume that I’m super organized and have been prepping and packing for weeks, but honestly, aside from my OOTDs, I waited until Saturday to pack for the children.  And the worst part?  I came down with a stomach bug on Saturday afternoon, so packing was not half as organized as I’d have liked.  Guess that’s what I get for procrastinating!  Thank you so very much to all of you for the well wishes on Sweet Southern Prep via Instagram.  I have the BEST readers!

I also like to have the house completely straight and all the laundry completed before I even begin packing.  In addition, I have a better scope of the upcoming weather, and I’m not packing too many outfits.  That way I’m not turning the house upside down, looking for something, and I know the 10-day forecast, so I’m all set for what to wear.  Since the bug hit, the house wasn’t as straight as I’d have liked, but hey, we made it here, right?

  1. I'm going to Disney World in May and can't wait. I hope you and your family have the best trip! I don't know if you've done this, but download the My Disney Experience app – it'll tell you which characters are out when and how long ride wait times are.

  2. Disney is one of my favorite places and I am 20 years old! I am actually going for the second time this year with my college tennis team for our spring training trip. If it is possible, it is an absolute MUST for you to bring the girls to the Be Our Guest restaurant in Belles castle. It is absolutely beautiful inside, the food for lunch is extremely reasonable for disney and the girls will think they are in a fairy tale.

  3. How fun is this! I was thinking, ok , this girl really is organized – and then when I saw that you ALSO have your blog posts ready to go???

What is in your water!?!?! I'm so impressed

    And have a blast! πŸ˜‰

  4. All of these pictures are making me home sick! I use to work for Disney and taught kindergarten in Celebration. This Midwest girl is dying with the winter we have had. So……..the best way to cheer me up is to book another Disney trip. We're going for Spring Break and I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!
    Have a blast!!!!
