Favorite Summer Pieces & How They’ll Transition to Fall

Whether you’re still thinking summer or transitioning to Fall, Nordstrom has you covered!  Today, I’m sharing my favorite pieces lately that I’ve loved wearing this summer, and how many could easily transition into early Fall.  Take this one shoulder ruffle top for instance, toss on a pair of jeans and wedges and it’s perfect for a night out!  For summer, I paired it here with these sandals and these cutoffs.

Favorite Tops

Love, love these sleeveless tops!  I’ve loved wearing them for day, but they’re great for a night out too.  Consider layering something over them for Fall, like a cute jacket and you’re all set.

These black sandals have been some of my favorite go-tos this summer.  They go with everything!  Paired here with this simple striped tee.

It’s no secret how much I love this striped ruffle top (on sale for $31).  I’ve worn it so much this summer.  Paired it here with these sunnies.

When I ordered this floral sleeveless top during the Anniversary Sale, I already had in mind how the colors would be perfect for Fall too.  I plan on wearing it with jeans and a cute jacket/cardi this Fall.

I love everything about this top, the bow, the color way, the crisp fabric.  Just such a cute top!  Paired here with these shorts and these sandals.

And speaking of crisp fabric…the structure and ruffle sleeve on this top is just so pretty.

And you know I couldn’t leave out some work-out gear.  This top has probably been one of my favorites, on days when I may not actually be working out – athleisure, right?

These running shoes have been awesome updates to the last pair I owned!

Favorite Cover-Ups

Love the embroidery and fringe detail on this coverup.

If it isn’t obvious enough in my Instastories, I’ve been wearing this cover-up nonstop.  It’s big and blousy and the colors are perfect! // Sunnies

This one is super comfy and such an easy toss-on whether you’re at the beach, boat or pool.  Also comes in a pretty pink color too.

Favorite Dresses

Talk about a great transition piece, this swing dress will be so cute worn with a jacket when the weather cools.  But I’m loving it now in this heat too!

While this is another cute striped dress, like the one before it, this one isn’t as swingy as the other.  But it’s still a great comfy dress to toss on!

The eyelet detail on this dress is absolutely gorgeous!  It’s currently 60% off too!  Paired here with these wedges that I’ve worn this summer non-stop.

Here’s another pic of these wedges.  Worn  here with this dress, now 30% off.

Favorite Fall Tops

When the weather cools here, I cannot wait to wear this grey ruffle sleeve top.  It is extremely comfortable and will be perfect to toss-on during the day but will also be fun at night too.

Talk about cozy!  Loving this poncho so much to wear in carpool and out running errands.

The flare sleeve on this navy top is such a fun touch to this top.  You won’t believe how soft it is!  I’m still trying to decide what color to go with next!

And finally,  I’ll leave you with this top.  Light pink perfection!  The neckline is just loose enough that you can wear it off the shoulder.  And the fabric is super soft.  I already have it in the mint green color too.  Just such an easy toss-on top when the weather starts cooling off.

Don’t forget that Nordstrom has free shipping and the easiest return process.  Just attach the sticky return label provided, along with your returned items, and you’re good to go!

I hope y’all had some success in seeing the eclipse yesterday.  We were in the line of totality with lots of clouds, so I can’t believe we saw it at all!  But we did and it was one of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced!  Can’t wait to share pics of it on tomorrow’s post!

Hope y’all have a great start to your week!

Thanks to Nordstrom for their partnership on this post.

  1. I really think you need to return to your chino shorts. The cut-offs just do not look very good with those tops.
