Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry Trip

Last week, I took the kids over to the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry to beat the heat.

They always have the best time here, exploring all the rooms.  Wheeler is at the cusp of aging out, but she still loves the Publix shopping area and the arts and crafts room.

Each room has so much to explore!

Logan and Vaughn’s favorite rooms are the pirate ship (complete with costumes) and the castle, where he always loves riding around on his stick horse.  The water room is always a huge hit too!  Argh, matey!

It’s perfect timing for Wheeler’s age and older because they will be redoing the museum, offering more for the older children.

These illustrations are just some of the many concepts that they’ll be creating in the next two years.

Don’t worry though, the museum will stay open while it’s being transformed!

They’ll be renovating these new areas in stages, so by 2021 the entire museum will be fully completed!

After spending over three hours at the museum, we worked up an appetite.  Ruru’s for the win!

Had to make a pit stop to visit our friendly frog while we were walking around.

All in all, it was a great day!  Just one of the many fun things to do in Charleston!  Love our city so much!  So happy my kids do too!
