Cheers to 17 Years!

It’s hard to believe we’ve been married for 17 years!  Our anniversary was on June 26th.  Like most marriages, we’ve had our ups and downs along the way, but right now, it’s pretty magical!  Even harder to believe is that we’ve been together for 23 years – we dated for six years before getting married.  We started dating when my youngest sister was just 8 years old.  That’s the same age as Vaughn is now.  Hard to believe that!  And now, my youngest sister is expecting her first baby in the next few weeks!

We celebrated this week at La Farfalle.  Have always loved this place!

Started the night off with a Golden Hour (Hat Trick Botanical Gin, Cocchi Americano, Yellow Chartreuse, Orange Blossom Water, Prosecco).

Their Octopus Carpacchio is unreal!  And that bread…so good!

This Brunello di Montalcino was delicious!  If you like earthy (non-fruity), dry reds, then this is for you!

The perfect meal!

Top (runs small, wearing a medium) // Jeans (true to size, currently 60% off making them only $20!) // Earrings

Excited to think what’s in store for us in the years to come, but all I can think of right now is that we have a teenager – soon to be FOUR teenagers in the next five years.  Haha.  Wish us luck!

I love sharing this photo.  And I always get…’Wow!  Your hair was so dark!’  I sure miss that dark hair!  Unfortunately, it started going grey at the age of 16.  I finally started growing it out a few years ago when I was tired of covering my white hair at my temples, not even a week after I’d get it colored.  It made me look like my hair line was receding.  Now, most of my hair is white in the front, but the back hasn’t reached that point yet.  It’s still currently salt and pepper.  Needless to say, it’s always been a challenge to color my hair.  Apologies to all of my stylists!  But one of these days, it’ll all be the same color and so much easier to manage!  It still amazes me that my five younger sisters don’t have nearly as much as grey as I have!
