Alright y’all, Lanier and I are getting ready to leave for Mexico. You have no idea how excited I am. Our first tropical vacay in thirteen years, since our honeymoon! I guess I just never had the urge to travel when I was pregnant, and then after having babies, I just never wanted to leave them for a long period of time when they were so young. But now it’s time. And I know they’ll be just fine. It’ll be hard, but I think it’s good to be missed sometimes. I’m sure going to miss them, that’s for sure. Since we’re leaving on a Thirsty Thursday, I thought I’d throw it back to my Nashville trip and share two cocktails I enjoyed while I was there. If you visit, you MUST try Bartaco. I absolutely LOVED this place! The cocktail I enjoyed had just the right amount of kick. Cheers!
Yum. Take me back!
If you’re at Salt & Vine, try A Peace Treaty. They bring it to your table in a large bowl and you spoon it into your glasses. I know the ingredients – gin, sparkling, and lemon sound so simple, but it’s so refreshing and delicious!
What I Wore
Top (only $42 and comes in lots of other colors; super lightweight and feels like silk) // Jeans (absolutely LOVE this style! High waisted and very slimming!) // Necklace (only $38 and comes in other colors too!)
The cutest little passport case coming with me. Our passports were so old that mine still had my maiden name in it. Needless to say, we won’t wait as long to go on another trip together like this again.
How cute are these white beaded earrings?
As soon as I tried on this dress, I knew I was going to wear it on the plane flight. It runs a little small, so if you want it to fit a little more on the looser side, go up a size. I’m wearing a medium. It’s currently 25% off with code: HELLOSUMMER, making it only $41! // Crossbody (currently 25% off with code: SSP25) // Flip Flops // Earrings // Ring
Starting today and running until May 15, all Sweet Southern Prep readers can take 25% off the entire Gigi New York site with code: SSP25 until May 21st! This is a great opportunity to order something that’s been on your wish list or if you’re still looking for that special something for Mother’s Day, now’s the time.
This new Crossbody style has been a favorite of mine since it’s release. It holds my iPhone 7 Plus perfectly and if you order now, it’s less than $100 with code: SSP25.
If you’re looking for something a little bigger, I love this Madison style too. It just came out in three new colors for summer, including pink. I’m actually taking the white with me on our trip. Great for traveling.
Other favorites of mine from Gigi New York are the Jeni Saddlebag Crossbody…
…and the Uber Clutch.
For personalized gifts, be sure and order by May 8th, to have it arrive by Mother’s Day. Don’t forget to use code: SSP25 at check-out to take 25% off!
Yesterday, the kids and I spent one more day at the pool after school. I wanted to do one more thing I knew they’d love before we left on our trip. As always, we had the best time! // Hologram/Rainbow Jellies // Speaker/Radio // Towel // Tassel Cover-Up // Sunnies (currently 25% off)
Speaking of, my pink sunnies are currently on sale!
My Striped Miller Sandals that I’ve loved wearing so much this season are also currently 25% off! Not sure how long this deal will last. For fit, these are true to size.
Thank you so much for the overwhelming response on the Dyson Hair Dryer I posted about yesterday! Sounds like all of you love it, so I think I’m going to make the splurge. I’ll report back after I’ve tried it. I also just realized that this is a limited edition set, and it’s the same price as the hair dryer that usually sells for this price alone.
I know many of you read my blog posts and rarely venture over to the Sweet Southern Prep blog via your computer. That’s totally fine. I’m guilty of that too, when I read other blogs. When you get a chance, check out my updated sidebar. I’ve included links and pics to my latest trips and other features. Also, did you know you can always shop my latest IG pics by clicking down from the ‘Menu’ on SSP from your phone? Just click on ‘Shop’ from there. On your computer, you can also click on ‘Shop,’ located on the top toolbar. I just love how it consolidates and organizes it all in one place!
I can’t wait to share what all I packed for Mexico! Lots of new pieces for summer! Be sure to check in tomorrow and see what all I packed for our trip. I’m also not sure how much service we’ll get down there, so we’ll see how it goes! One thing’s for sure, when I get back, be ready for lots of pictures!
