An OOTD + J.Crew’s Newest Arrivals for Fall + A Thundershirt for Boozer

Effie’s Dress is on sale with an extra 30% with code: GREATSALE. Wheeler’s dress is also J.Crew, but unfortunately it’s already sold out. // Lettuce Edge Socks // Glitter Shoes
Happy Weekend!  Our week has consisted of lots of thunderstorms, so the pool has been out of the question.  Since it was the first week of school for the girls, they would beg to go straight to the pool after picking them up, but with this weather unfortunately it just couldn’t happen.

They have enjoyed school so much, and have adjusted well.  I think Effie’s even already made a best friend.  She also accidentally threw away her insulated lunch box on Friday, so I guess I’ll be ordering a new one.  The whole cafeteria thing is so new to her.  Wheeler loves first grade and is super excited about having homework.  I have a feeling she won’t believe she ever said that in a few years.

Back to the thunderstorms, Boozer has always been pretty freaked out when it storms or if people are shooting off fireworks.  He shakes like crazy and pants heavily, drooling, until the storm passes.  He’ll either find a person or a safe place (under a bed, in a nook somewhere, etc.) to hide, but it doesn’t necessarily calm him down.  This isn’t new to me as my dog Toby (a golden retriever) used to do this too.  And poor Toby’s anxiety was so bad that we’d have to give him half a Valium to calm him down.  It was THAT bad.  Toby was the best dog.  Makes me miss him just typing this.  So on Thursday when I posted the pic above to IG and how Boozer always stresses out during storms, a few of you recommended a thunder shirt.

I finally ordered one yesterday and it should get hear next week.  I’ll be back next week to let you know how it worked for him.  Fingers crossed it does the trick!  He’s just getting older, he’ll be 9 in October, and I know all the shaking is hard on his little body, that we need to do something about it.

Are these Jeffrey Campbell Wedges not the prettiest?  They came in this week and I am in LOVE with them!  They fit true to size and are surprisingly very secure for the height.  There’s a zipper up the back too, so it’s pretty easy to get them on and off.  As for color, the site shows them as looking more tan/nude, while in fact they’re more light pink blush/nude.  I would have been happy with either color, but just wanted you to know that my pic is more accurate than on the site.

Top (super comfy, like I could sleep in it, it’s so comfy) // Cutoffs (can you tell these have been a favorite lately? Still on sale. They run big so order a size down.) // Flip Flops (Even if I’m just hanging around the house, I wear these every single day. I’m an 8.5 and wear a 9 in these.) // Necklace (I could honestly own every single color, they make every outfit pop with just the right amount of color.)
Arm Party: Arrow Cuff // White Link Bracelet // Charleston Rice Beads

As I posted on Thursday’s Thirsty Thursday, wine in a can is real, y’all.  Based on your comments on Instagram last night, you’re just as excited as I was about this little discovery!  Apparently, it’s been around for a little while, but I’m just now hearing about it.  Needless to say, pool trips and picnics will never be the same.  FYI, don’t let this little can fool you.  It’s actually half a bottle and contains 13% alcohol.  Oh, and it can still fit inside any koozie.

J.Crew’s Newest Arrivals are here!  So much of it is getting me excited for Fall weather!  I swear I had a J.Crew Denim Jacket in this wash when I was in high school.  When I saw it in the latest collection, I was thinking I should get it again.  Click here to shop the newest arrivals that are currently 25% off with code: GREATSALE. Shop more of my favorites below…

More storms and rain is expected today, so I think we’re going to try and make it to a movie.
Hope y’all are having a great weekend!

  1. Those wedges are a work of art! Love them! I've been wanting a jean jacket (haven't had one since I was a little girl) and will definitely check out the new one at JCrew!

    Happy weekend!
    xo.

  2. I love the White Link Kendra Scott and Charleston Rice Bead bracelets, but when I went to look at them they sound so big for my wrist, 7-7.5 inches.. I guess I have weirdly small wrists because I have this problem a lot, do they seem to be adjustable at all? To where I could remove some of the links? They look so lovely on you in that photo!

    1. I consider myself to have small wrists and they're not that big, like they wouldn't slide off my wrists. I haven't heard of removing links, but I bet you could! I'm obviously obsessed with everything Kendra Scott!
