A Weekend Away: UGA vs Kentucky

Over the weekend, Lanier and I headed to Athens, Georgia with friends to watch the UGA vs Kentucky game.  We had the best time!  While we obviously missed the kids, it’s always nice to have a weekend for just the two of us. // Sunnies // Striped Top (old, but check out this similar color in a dress version here; also available here)

On Friday, we visited a few breweries in town.  Love Terrapin!  How cute is my little crossbody?

Enjoying some downtime.

Creature Comforts had the yummiest beer!  If you’re ever in town, you must visit.  Get the Tropicalia. // Wore this jacket and this top.  My friend is wearing one of my new tops.  Hard to see here but it has the cutest navy tassels along the hem and I love the print!  It’s currently on sale too!

We had the best dinner at a Korean place called Iron Factory.  It looks like so much food, but we definitely ate it all!

All ready for game day.  The weather couldn’t have been more beautiful!

Thrilled that the Bulldogs pulled out a win!

A view from above the Georgia Theater.

The other night I wore this top and a lot of you asked about sizing.  It fits true to size.  I’m wearing a small.  And my ring I wear all the time is by Kendra Scott.  It’s such a fun cocktail ring!

I had a lot of requests asking about my sunglasses.  I’ve had them for a few months now and love wearing them.  I say it all the time, but Maui Jim makes the best lenses.  They just make everything more brighter and clearer than regular lenses.  My vest is an oldie but goodie (similar here) and I’m wearing this striped top.

As far as what styling products I use…the only things I’m currently using on my hair right now are this hair oil before I blow dry it and this curler.  I don’t wash my hair that often because it’s so dry and it luckily holds a curl pretty well, so from Friday to Saturday I didn’t do anything to freshen it up in between.  But I swear by my curler!  I’ve had it over for over a year now and once I got it, I never looked back.  Would make a great Christmas gift if you’re thinking of ideas.

I hope y’all have a great start to your week!

  1. It is such a small world – I read your blog all the time! Love your style and keeping up with the latest trends. Anyway, I know the Johnson’s! My MIL is best friends with Janice. We all live in Gainesville. I basically feel like we know each other now 🙂 Just thought that was funny!

    1. No way! We actually stayed with them on Thursday night in Gainesville and played tennis with her on Friday morning at the country club! Love Janice! Such a small world!
